Life After, or After Life
I’m sure it will just go away
This is here to stay, get used to it
Vaccine by October, yeah right
Some say a vaccine would only be 50% effective
Some won’t even take one after it’s approved
Hybrid education
China lied to us
The election is rigged
The WHO is evil, the CDC is corrupt!
Coronavirus
COVID-19
The Novel Coronavirus
No more USPS
Out of toilet paper
Shortage of food
Killer hornets!
Locusts!
FIRE.
I survived
Because the flame within
Burned brighter
Than the flames around
If you’re in Australia
Or California, Oregon, or Washington
Or another hot spot that didn’t make the news
Do you believe that?
What of those who didn’t survive?
Shame on us
if we emerge on the other side
and are unchanged.
Focus on that:
if we emerge on the other side
Because what if we don’t?
What of those who won’t survive,
When all is said and done?
Death toll surpasses 200,000 in the US alone
Educational equality is a thing of the past,
That is, if it ever existed,
And it will be a generation before it’s conceivable again
the election will devolve into the Second Civil War, like as not,
Why not just nuke everyone and be done with it all?
We’re killing the planet
Not exactly, the planet will recover
Once we’re all gone
But we refuse to learn coexistence
With the biosphere we call home
Because dulce et decorum est
Occidere nos.
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.
Hospitals unceasingly overburdened,
Underdeveloped countries abandoned
And some of the developed ones in anarchy,
A virus that spreads on the air and lingers for hours,
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down
The economy collapsed,
Hundreds of thousands of bodies collapsed,
And we trampled over them,
ground them into mortar
to lift the former back up to glory.
What of the ashes?
Yes, this is the way the world ends.
This is the way the world ends.
This is the way the world ends.
Not with a bang
but a
